Cover Bridge Festival

We went to the cover bridge festival in Bridgeton Sunday as a family. I enjoy going but I just don't like the ride over there. We did not pick up to my stuff but did get a few things. I would love to go back and just stop at the yard sales.. Fun!! Fun!!!
We had a very nice day and a very nice time. Love doing stuff with the family!!

3rd Grade

My big girl started 3rd grade today.. I was going to write my baby but she is not a baby anymore (she will always be in my eyes) She is now taller then me and she is only eight. I know it does not take much to be taller then me but at eight years old.. Please slow down.

Haileigh got to play softball this year. She did not get to play until they was done but got to play some games.. But she had fun and this was her first year and she did pretty good for her first year.

One day we took Reese to the park and the train was going. I remb. riding this when I was little. He was not for sure about it at first but then loved it..

Last night we went to the fair.. Reese had fun ridding some rides this is his fav. one even at the mall he knows he will get to ride. I did take him down the slide...

Yeah, I know it is not winter time anymore... I took this and I was going to post them right after I took them and then I could not find them.. lol
So, I just found them the other day so that is why I am just now posting them..
We did this when I was a kid so we thou. Haileigh would love it. We was right because she did LOVE it. We had to tell her to come in because her face was getting red from being so cold.

Oh yeah, I was the only one that fell off to and if you look close to the one pic. my husband thinks it is so funny!!!

At our house you never know what you are going to see or hear or anything.. Does anybody else have a house like this?

The other night I was trying to get my stuff all done before getting in bed. I heard Haileigh talking and I just thought she was playing with the dog or something else.

Well, when I went into my room this is what I found... I was trying not to laugh out loud but it was to funny. I ask her what she was doing and she told me that Grandpa (Derrick's dad) does this when Grandma Andrea is telling her story. So, she seen Derrick light and put it on her head and start doing what she seen done before..

It has been a few years that she got to stay the night with them beause we live so far apart so I know she had to be pretty young, but she still remb.

Thank You for Grandpa and Grandma great storys!!!!

My pic. are not the best and I know they look like funny but I hope you get the point.. Maybe tonight when you tell your kids storys you can try this... :)

Ok, I know I am long over due for this post. I feel like no one reads it so what is the point and then I think well I read other blogs so someone prob. reads my. :)

ALOT of stuff has been going on. I will try to tell them in the pic. order. Haileigh had her 2nd grade music prog. they did a great job. After they was down we went to DQ and then she wanted to take a good pic. and then a funny pic. So, that is what is up with that.

Dad had double hip surg. 3 weeks ago and he is doing GREAT. He did not have alot of pain. And today he is walking with out anything helping him. He still has to use the cane to go up and down the stairs. Praise God for all the good thing he has done in his life.

Then the other Sat. we got to watch Reese for a while. We always have so much fun with him when he comes over. He was knocking on Haileigh door and telling her it was time to get up. Then when she gets up he looks at her like what are you doing and then don't want nothing to do with her for a while. He is to funny.. When it came to take a nap I gave him the other half of my ipod and we both fell asleep for a little. And then I got up and put him to bed. He is just so sweet.
When he is sleeping Haileigh keeps asking me when will he get up that we can play.

Hopefully I will not wait so long to post again.

What a night we had Monday night..

We have sheep in the barn at my moms house. Well the pins was getting bad so Derrick said that he need to go up and start cleaning them out... It was very, very HOT
I thought I would be nice and help him out.. lol
So, we got it all done.. You can laugh at the pic. below of me. I know I look funny with my boats and yes I was HOT....

Then my mom and her sister was cutting on something so we went out and help them..

We go most of it all down before the rain came.. And man did the rain come hard.
Derrick put his truck on the brush stuff that it would not blow away.

We went inside and ate supper and then when we was going how here was a very pretty sunset.

So, like I said it was a busy Monday night for us..

Crazy night

I know this is not vac. pic. I have not had time to get them ready .... But I will and then I will post them.

Last night was one crazy night..

I had to meet the bus at my mom house to get Haileigh because my mom was not going to be home to be there for her. And then about 15 min. here came my mom.. LOL
So, we stay there until 5:30. Derrick is working nights so there is not alot that Haileigh and I can talk about when I have stuff on my mind like you can with your own mind if you know what I mean.. :)Then we stop at my Grandpa and Grandma house before we came home.
We was being lazy around the house, Haieligh did not have any homework and we was just have a good time.. I was getting ready to fix something for supper and the phone rang.
Here is was my dad and he said that Grace our sheep had two babies. I did not even know she was preg. and I guess my husband did not know.

When a sheep has babies sometimes you have to help the little ones get the first them milk and get them started.. There is alot more but I don't feel like type it all out.. lol
So, anyways I knew that Derrick was not home so I could not send him and I knew my mom would need help, plus this was the first time that she has help so she did not know what was going on.. So, here we go up to mom house.. Oh I forgot to tell you the sheep had two little one and one of them was not up on it legs yet.
Ok, to make a long story no so long here it goes.. Other thing Grace was the sheep that we feed from a bottle because her mom had 3 babies and she could not handle Grace so we took her as our baby... So, she is very nice and easy to work with.

So, mom and me tied up Grace and I have to take the lamp that was standing and get her to nurse. That part is no to hard to do.
Well, I have to milk Grace just like you milk a cow but I think I would like to milk a cow any day then milk a sheep. So, I got some milk and put it in a bottle and try to feed the other little one that was not walking and try and get it up on it feet.. So, I think I got some down the one that can't walk so we work with it more and still did not want to get up. We think that something happen to it when it was born or the other sheep that was in the barn step on it. Not for sure what was wrong with it but I don't think it is going to make it. :( (oh and all this time I can't not get ahold of Derrick because he is working nights... )
The other sheep would not have been in the one part of the barn where we raise are little ones but like I said before we did not know she was preg.. Sheep are hard to tell when they are a younger sheep. Maybe I will be like that if I have kids some day.. lol

So, anyways we work with them for over 2 hours. Milked the sheep some more and got the other one to nurse again.. Mean while the time is getting late and my child should of been in bed by now and plus no one had supper and I need to go out in my garden a cover my plants because of the cold weather..
We got home about 10:00 I cover up my pants in the garden, came in a we had cereal for supper and off to bed we went...

What a crazy night.. I called mom to see if the one baby made it thur. the night and she said yes but it is still not getting up. So, Derrick is on his way to go work with it some more.

What a crazy night!!! I hope tonight we can get to bed early and don't have to worry about anything ... Sorry it is so long.. Thought you might want to hear what happens at our house sometimes... So, I guess if you guys have sheep and you need help you can give me a call... lol :)

I don't know how to start this but I will try not to jump around to much.

The song that I just post on my last post came to me again today.. Let me start back one day Sunday.

Sunday we had a great message at church!! Then we came home and ate and then we got ready to go to my great uncle viewing.

All night last night and just have to think and pray about the family. I knew I was not going to be able to the funeral so I just pray some more.. Well, I got a phone call today and it from the school and they had a 2 hour delay because of the fog.. Well, to make a long story short. I drop off Haileigh and I was on my way to work.. Had to stop and the stop sign and wait until I could go.. It was about time for the funeral to start and all morning the family was in my thoughts. Well, when I was at the stop sign here the hearses and the family coming behind to go to the church.. I seen the hearses go first and then it was the family and that is when I just started to cry. (I was not close to him I just seen them ever once in a while at family things but not that much) But what hit me was (does it all the time at funeral) this is the last time they will get to see them here on earth. Their earth body. When my Grandpa died that was the hard part when you say your last goodbye..
And at the same time when this was all going on, that song start to play and I heard the words again..

God is so good and he knows all our pain he knows what we are going thur.. He even knows when it is going to happen... We just need to pray and know that God knows and he is there for us! In those times when we are sad and when we say our goodbyes to someone we love.

I don't want this post to be about me and how I felt or how I feel... I just know there is alot of people that have loss a love one and I just feel that we should hold them up and pray for them.. There is two people right now that I can think of. So, if you know someone like that.. Send them a note or just pray for them ex.. this week...

When I came home from work yesterday, Haileigh could not wait to tell me that her tooth finally came out at school.

This is her third one that she has lost. The one right next to it is loose now. So, I guess we will see how long it takes to get out of there to.

This is something I do NOT miss at all. I hated to pull my teeth out. One time I remb. my dad had to pull one out for me. :)
Kind of glad she did this at school and not by me.. lol I am a big baby when it comes to stuff like this.. :)

Date Night

Derrick took Haileigh on a date Sat. night.. Yes, he pants are dirty but he just got off work and Haileigh wanted to leave right away.. lol They end up going to KFC and then to some other places...

He said that this is the only that she will have for a while.. Just her and daddy no boys for a while. We will see how long that will be when she grows up.. :)

Sat. night

Sat. night my mom got to watch this little one for a couple of hours. His mom and dad had a free dinner to go to.

Well, that just happen to be the same night that Derrick and Haileigh went on a date. (Post later on that) So, I was going to be home by myself.

So, I thought this aunt would just go see what was going on with the baby.. :)

Did I say how sweet he is? I could about hold him all day and all night..

He is doing great! He has appt. tomorrow Tues. and if things go good there then Haileigh will finally (in her words) get to hold him and meet him for the first time.

I thought that before Christmas was busy around our house but I guess I was wrong.. :)

We had family at our house from Thurs. - Mon. that was so much fun and was not ready for them to go home.

I think we all have been sick around our house.. Haileigh is getting it now and I feel so sorry for her. Poor thing just cough her head off. Last night I got up two times to give her a drink and try to get her not to cough so much.

We are still waiting for Kali to have the baby. I think I will go over and have a talk with him and tell him it is ok to come out.. lol
Her due date is Jan. 17 so I guess we have until Sunday. God knows when his birthday is going to be and we are praying that everything will go good.

My cousin took our family pic. this weekend.. I wanted to get them done before the fall was over but never got that done.. It is like pulling teeth to get my husband to take a pic. but we got them done. This are my fav. so far.
I can't wait until she is done with all of them that I can see them. She did a great job.

This little sweet heart 7th birthday is today.

I can't belive how much they grow up so fast.

She is a big helper around the house and love to do lots of thing to help out in any way she can.

I sang to her to wake her up and then when she was eating she said can you sing to me again. :)

Weekend

What a crazy, great weekend we had.

Derrick was planning on going to a flea market on Sat. and stay over night and going to be up there until Sunday afternoon.
He kept asking me if I wanted to go and I said no I think I will just stay home. I knew it would be cold to camp and my bed and being warm was sounding pretty good.

Well, Fri. night the couple that Derrick was going with wanted to go out for supper. So, we went and his wife was asking me if I was going to go and I told her no.

Well, to make a long story short. The more I thought about Derrick being gone about all weekend and other stuff, I thought well I will go this time and see how it is like. lol :)

So, got up on Sat. and start to get all this stuff around to sale and to keep warm at night. My mind was going crazy because I like to plan and not just get stuff ready at the last min. We was going to take the tent and I thought no why don't we just take the seats out of the van and sleep in the back of there.
So, that is what we did. We took all the back seats out but Haileigh because she need that one to sit on. We took a van full of stuff to sale and ALOT of blankets.
We got up there about 3:30 Sat. afternoon. Sit up our stuff to sale and we walk around for a while. Before I knew it was time to get out bed ready in the van.
Just say yes it was cold when you got out of your blankets. I did not get much sleep all night because I was worried that Haileigh would get to cold. But she was fine.
We did have a great time and it was nice to do a family thing.
My mom always says make memories. So, I guess that will be something that we prob. will not forget about.
Other funny thing was we did not come back with a van full. All our stuff that we took up there sold but 2 things. I thought that was pretty good.
I will prob. go back. But I think the next time I will be planning a week before. :)

And all of this I forgot my cam. to take some pic. So, I guess next time I will have to put that on my list and make sure I take some pic.

Oh yeah... I was so ready for my warm bed and some good night sleep last night..

Haileigh told everyone that we got to sleep in our van with no seats. She was so proud and so happy. I am so glad that I can make her weekend of just doing something small like that. :)

School is going great for this big girl.. I still can't belive she is in 1st grade..
This was a couple week back at open house.
She had her first spelling test this week and got 100% A+ both time. (they take them on wed. and fri. ) I was so happy!!!

The only prob. that we have is she is a night owl like me and does not like to get up in the morning.. She would love to spend in until 9:30 or 10:00 and then go to school.. lol :)

Sat. night I went out with my bff for her birthday and a long over due of just fun together.

We went out to eat and watch a movie. Well, we had time to kill before our movie started at 9:30p.m.
So, we went over to wal-mart to kill some time.
I wanted to get my hair cut so I thought I would see if the one in wal-mart was open. And here it was with now waiting.. :)
So, guess what I did... lol
Make a long story short we did not get home until midnight and my husband was asleep so when he woke up Sunday he woke up to a diff. looking woman.. lol
He said what happen to your hair!!!

Ok... I better update now while I have a little time and all the stuff is fresh in my brain.. lol

Like I said in my last post about being a aunt.. I have know for a while now but had to keep it in. Man, was that hard!!! I am so happy and can't wait to find out if it is a he or a she.. Does anyone want to take a guess??

This pass week I went along with my mom and two of her sister up to her other sister house. And one more sister join us up there. Yes, she has lots of sisters.. lol
There was 10 in her family and only 3 boys... So, lots of girls... Fun, Fun...
We had so much fun. We went to Shipshewana to the flea market and to diff. store around there.
I thought at first that it would get very old to go to all those diff. stores, but it was fun.
My aunts are great to be around. We played phase 10 two nights and told story's and laugh so hard I cried.. So, like I said alot of fun!!

This weekend we was home about all the time. Derrick and I just spend the time together. Seem like we don't get to do that alot with out someone having some place to go.
Sat. I told Derrick that the corn was ready to be pick. I had to run the dog up to my moms house and when I got back Derrick pick all the corn.. All of it, I guess he did not understand that all of it was not ready at the same time lol. So, we put corn away, we did most of it outside and watch it rain. Sunday we had a family over for lunch and just sit around and talk and they went home and we went up to mom and dad and got to visit with Grandma and Grandpa..
What a great weekend.

Pray for all the people that lost love one this week. I know how hard that is to say good-bye to love ones.. Pray for all that had to travel to that they will have a safe trip back home.

I know it haves been a while...

This week seems like it has been going slow..

Sat. night my ear started to hurt but I did not think anything about it because it was my right ear and ever time I am sick or something it all goes in my left ear.
Well, Sunday night we was out side with the family play cornhole and having a great time and my ear started to hurt real bad. The pain would just hurt so bad.
Well, I deal with it for a couple of days then on Tues. night when I could not sleep anymore because it hurt to bad I thought I better go into the doc.
So, yesterday (wed) I went in and she told me I have it in both ears.. No wonder I did not feel good and could not sleep.
So, I am hoping to be back to normal in a day or to. So, if you can just pray that I can heal and get some sleep. lol
The weird thing of it all is I have not even been sick. It is prob. something in the air or all this hay that I have been around with Derrick...

Back to the family. We had a great time Sunday night. We order pizza and went outside and had a fun time playing cornhole and just having a good time talking.. That is what family is all about.
I have some pic. from that. The pic. of Derrick playing is so funny because he was making this face ever time he would play.

Oh I almost forgot. Sat. afternoon Derrick had his first hours pull at Dinky's so mom and me went and watch him. He did not get last but he did not get first.. He did a good job. They horse are just young ones starting out so when they get older maybe he will win. I don't have very good pic. from that but I will share the ones that I have.

This weekend does not seem to be so busy. My aunt and uncle are coming from Florida and should be her tomorrow sometime, it will be nice to visit with them. I have a shower to go to on Sunday for a very sweet young lady.

I am so glad to have my computer back up and running..

I am hoping that we don't have to do that again..

I was going to share some pic. I took of the storm but I forgot to get them off the computer at mom house where I downloading them at. so, I guess I will try and share them with you later.

This week has been going pretty fast. Fri. night we are having some friends over the the 4th and then we will go just about a mile down the road from our house to watch the fireworks..
I have two photo shoots scheduled for this weekend too. So, I have a busy weekend. Some where in there I would like to go watch Derrick pull in the horse pull and I would like to go watch my brother play softball.. I guess we will see. I will prob. feel like I am running here and there.. But that is what summer is for right.. lol

Well, I better end for not. I have lots of work that need to be done..

Computer Down

Hello,

What a week it has been and today is only Wed.....

Last Thurs. when the storm was here we got hit by lighting here at work. It took out alot of stuff. I don't even know where to start. My computer was on of them. Like all the other places this days you can't run you business with out a computer.... :( QuickBooks is big thing here...
So, I call the computer guy to see what he could do. He said that he could start working on it Monday.
So, Monday roles around and he has been here fixing stuff up.... Well, I guess he was not here Tues.
But today he has been here from 8:30 a.m. and it is 2:37 p.m. and we are still working all this stuff.
To make a long story short... I am ready for my office and all my stuff to be back to normal...

Is NORMAL and word..???...

I have been looking at some of the pictures I have took over the years and God was remb. me once again that how much do I thank him for the little stuff in life.

I know that this is for me as much as it is for whoever is reading this.

I think we forget to thank him for the little stuff in life. Yes, it seem like we always thank him for the big stuff in life, like if we get hurt or if he heals us from something. We say Thank You Jesus. But do you thank him for the every day stuff.
The sunshine, the rain, the stress in our life. I could go on and on. But I just want to tell him Thank You for everything that you have giving me even the stuff that I don't think I can handle. Thank You

Camping

We went camping on Memorial Day weekend... It was so hot but we had lots of fun..

I just have a couple of pic. we did not do to much just had a nice relaxing weekend. The first night we got there was a little late and the lady that was working the gate said we can sit up our tent anywhere so, we find a nice place by the water and had lots of trees around us. Well, when we was sitting up the tent a guy came down that looked over the park, and said we can't camp there and we had to move. :( So, we ask him if we could move the next day because as you can see (in Pic.) it was dark. He was very nice and said yes.. So, the next day we had to get up and move.. The spot we moved to had no trees and was very hot. We was still by the water but that does not help when it is 85 outside and not shade... :) But like I said we had fun!!

The very last pic. is so funny.. She was so tired! We was cleaning up the tent and other stuff and she was still sleeping..

Hello,

It has been a crazy week and weekend for us. This week I help with the church directory. Thank you for the 3 other girls that help to. I know it is a job and it is not over yet. Sunday I took my cam. to church to start taking some pic. of diff. stuff that we can put it in the book. I can't belive how many people don't like there pic. taken.. LOL But at the end they will love the book. Thank You to my cousin Shawn for tell me about Olan Mills guy that they had went with. He was lots of fun to work with and plus very nice!!

We are going to try and go camping this weekend. I guess I forgot that this was a holiday weekend because every where we call to see if they have a spot they say no they are all full for this weekend..
Maybe we will just have to camp in our back yard.. :) I hope not!

Anniversary

Today is our 5Th Anniversary.

I was going to post some pictures on here of our wedding day but I can't get the scanner to work. I do have one that was in my computer but it is only of me. I guess that will have to do for now until I can get the scanner to work.

We have a very pretty day for May weather. I think it was in the 80's so it was so pretty.

I was sick on our wedding day. I think it was just the stress and all the good stuff that some brides get.
(I was so sick that night that Derrick had to drive me back home at like 3:00 a.m. and we did not leave for our honeymoon until 2 days later.)
But it all work out and we had a great honeymoon.

I thought I loved him when I first seen him but I know that I love him more and more every day.

We had some people out I think it was 2 weeks again. We grill out and some ate inside and other ate outside. Had a nice fire to sit around and just had a great time.
We have been trying to get together more then we did before. Seem like all the kids get along and play and we get to sit and talk.

I know this is very sort but I really don't have time to blog right now. I will try and make it longer the next time I am on here.. I will leave you with some more pic. of our friends and fun we had.
